Audry Denbar wakes up one morning to find her boyfriend, Simon, dead at the bottom of the stairs. She discovers he has been shot. When it is proven that she had been drugged and that she couldn't have been the murderer, Audry and her friend Sandra start their own investigation to help the police find the killer. In the course of their own investigation, many surprises turn up and strange people start to contact them out of the blue in strange circumstances. They encounter danger as attempts are made on their lives and have to dodge the attempts of the murderer who seems to be watching their every move. When they find that Simon had connections to the British Secret Service, things begin to take on a very sinister move and they need to learn different skills to deal with personal attacks. This story has everything including drama, murder, love in strange circumstances, humour that will have you laughing your socks off and intrigue that will make you want to solve this story before you reach the end of the book.
