He has authored books, lessons and chapters in books, research papers and articles in magazines. This book focuses upon the approach of trainer and training organization towards evaluation of a course.The organizations involved in training and development function, spent a lot of money in organizing events including seminars, conferences, training courses, Management Development Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes etc. The benefits of an event requires to be evaluated. This book especially for the trainers, sponsoring agencies, client organizations (who depute participants), and other stakeholders. The book explains how to effectively evaluate an event and quantify its benefits and drawbacks in monetary and non-monetary terms. The author is a trainer and after organizing more than 200 courses and gaining skills in Trainers' Development Programmes (like Design of Training, Direct Trainers' Skills, Mentoring, Experiential Learning Tools etc.), he explained the parameters used by a trainer before, during, and after the course for evaluating the success of an event. The organizers, sponsors, course directors, course coordinators must know the parameters for evaluating the seminars, conferences, courses including executive development programmes, faculty development programmes and other courses.The evaluation of training requires involvement of various stakeholders including participants, client organization, training organization, and sponsoring authorities. The stages of evaluation differ from perspective of each stakeholder and there are different interests of each stakeholder. How to carry out such evaluation, is a great art and this book is an effort to inculcate such skills.
