Reseña del libro "The Crime Frontier's Trilogy (en Inglés)"

The Crime Frontier's Trilogy. Same room - different door This is the first part of the Crime Frontier's trilogy: After the drugs related death of their daughter Lucy, David and Claire Bell search for a common-sense justice; that will also be linked to their deep desire for, perhaps, the most powerful and sweetest revenge of all - turning revenge into reform. The Bell's increasingly outrageous attempts to gain at least some sort of justice, engages them in an escalating battle against; the egomaniacal drugs baron Lenny Bean, his cunning side kick Ricky Ainsworth, a corrupt police Inspector, and last but far from least, with the failing strategies of the establishment's "War on Drugs. Promises to a Monster Promises to Monster is the central part of the Crime Frontiers Trilogy. It is a crime thriller/human interest story surrounding "Crime Frontiers," and its legally confidential, advice-line for criminals; who may wish to give up crime ... it's like "Victim Support" ... except it's for the potential victimisers. The humane interest of the story revolves around the Crime Frontier's Adviser/Negotiators, Andy and Sandra (who add a touch of romance), and their respective dealings with; George, a wanna-be-rapist, Trish-trash-Trisha, a drug-addicted prostitute, and Steven. Steven, who is already a full-blown serial killer, provides the pivotal and intriguing drama of the story; by threatening the very existence of Crime Frontiers. In a fit of vanity ("It is my most loyal trait in this disloyal life!"), Steven threatens that unless Sandra (or someone at Crime Frontiers), breaks their code of absolute-confidentiality for all callers; by giving his details to the police, who can then trace, track and arrest him - then he will trace, track and kill Sandra's co-workers. The relationships between the crime Advisors and their clients, along with the open questioning of the intended crimes, also opens the reader to encounters with the choices, hopes and tactics of revenge and reform. "Promises to a Monster" also poses the question to the reader (and society) in that, if such a (legally confidential) crime advice service is not allowed to be created; then society may be refusing all or any of its potential criminals, a last wish to say anything; before self-condemning his or her self (and other victims), to the promises of crime. The Insolence and the Free-Heroes, is the third part of the Crime Frontier's trilogy of David Bell's audacious, dangerous, and epic quest to explore the boundaries of traditional morality. Following on from his quest of: Same room - different doors, and the making and keeping of: Promises to a Monster, David Bell re-aligns his relationship with Steven Chadwick "the monster" to challenge the insolence surrounding religion.
