Gwen wrestles with keeping her new secret and double life from the local community she has begun to feel a part of. When Calvin, a young man from the community and someone Gwen has a particular fondness for, reveals the communities suspicion that the long term effects of the virus could mean the end of humanity, Gwen struggles with wanting to help or just running away from it all. But Gwen is finally forced to examine her role in helping humanity when she picks up a couple fellow travelers who find out about her abilities and encourage her to use them to save what's left of the human race.
