Reseña del libro "Score the Ball Volume 1 The Fringe Situation (en Inglés)"

Score the Ball, Volume 1, The Fringe Situation is a great new book that builds on an exciting and solid scoring concept called Situational Golf. It is all about scoring the ball, getting the ball into the hole in the fewest number of strokes. This system teaches golfers to recognize, evaluate, and determine the highest percentage shot for a particular situation, and then executing that shot with a high level of success. The situation always dictates the shot. You will find that this concept is strong, consistent, and efficient. Score the Ball, Volume 1 focuses on situations when the ball comes to rest just off of the green, where it can be contacted cleanly, but it cannot be reliably putted. This is a common situation that the average golfer may see 6-10 times in every round, and therefore handling it well is critical for good scoring. Each year numerous professional tour golfers are successful handling this situation and saving par well over 90% of the time. Yet many amateurs fail to achieve even a 10% success rate, and they generally struggle with it. The key thing is that the shots to handle this situation do not take much athleticism or strength. No tour professional has any physical or athletic advantage when hitting these shots. So anyone can learn to handle this situation very, very well with the right techniques. Another key element is that consistency leads to confidence which leads to aggressive play and to better scoring. This book shows you how to infuse complete consistency in your short game, which has many more facets than just practicing until your back aches. It incorporates proper mechanics, productive practice techniques, and on course mental approach. You will also come to know and understand concepts such as 'shot purity', 'experience library', 'natural calibration', 'target affinity', and 'pre-shot routine' in connection with handling this situation. They will work to make you a more aware, insightful, and better player. Your practice sessions will be very productive and they will translate directly to better scoring. This book includes setup and mechanics with detailed text and diagrams, situational analysis, exercises, drills, and methods to fix problems that you might have. There are over 40 instructional pictures. While the book is in black and white, the instructional pictures are also available in color with an enlargement option on the accompanying website 'situationalgolf.com'. Look for the next book in the Score the Ball series which moves the golfer a little further back off of the green and showcases a different situation that can be handled by a higher, softer shot.
