Faith: will you set it free, release it, jailbreak it, or will you leave it behind bars, incarcerated, imprisoned? Of all of the dispensations of time and God's grace, this is the greatest time and opportunity to be a Christian. Yet, in order to fulfill His Word, God has allowed perilous times to confront His people for the purpose of proving His trustworthiness and revealing our level of faith before Him. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: I Peter 1:7 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I John 5:4 Many will not see what lies ahead unless they endure to the end. As it was with the children of Israel—who perished because they did not release their faith in the wilderness—many will perish in these days because they have not released the faith that was established in them when they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. A common trick of the enemy is to convince God's people to agree with him about one of the lies that he is telling them. He often says things like: your problems didn't exist until your got saved, or your life was much better before you made a firm commitment to live for Jesus. Some of God's people have been duped into believing that living in Egypt (a type of the world and its sinfulness) is better than enduring the trials and testings that they may suffer as a believer in order to obtain God's promises and blessings. NOW the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. I Timothy 4:1 Because these believers are not getting what they want, and they are being besieged by the enemy, they are not releasing their faith the way that they should. They are paralyzed spiritually and choose, instead, to leave their faith altogether. Will you choose to release your faith, or will you leave it imprisoned?
