As someone who had never read science-fiction and never had a desire to read science-fiction, The Quest for the Golden Helix was a complete surprise. From the first chapter forward, I didn't want to put it down. Once I finished, I wanted to tell everyone I knew about the book. It was a marvelous blend of science, fantasy, and theology.
