Reseña del libro "Pan-Afrikanism: Material Based Concepts (en Inglés)"

Pan-Afrikanism: Material Based Concepts“Pan-Afrikanism: Material Based Concepts” applies materialist philosophical tools to raise understanding of key Pan-Afrikan concepts such as history, culture, identity and the role of women in Afrika’s liberation. Methodologically, Pan-Afrikanists use historical facts rather than imagination as basis for developing theory. “Pan-Afrikanism: Material Based Concepts” supplements this working from nature as material base to interpret those historical facts for clearer understanding of Afrikan people’s problems and improved strategising. In addition to contextualising and explaining Pan-Afrikanism, it:1.Clarifies what Pan-Afrikanism is not, referencing dangerously undermining distortions about religion, sexuality and biological make up, wrongly associated with Pan-Afrikanism. This lays the basis for distinguishing it from neo-colonialist and Divisionist imposters misleadingly labelling themselves “Pan-Afrikanists” and clears confusion, allowing Pan-Afrikanism to be properly defined and explained;2.Explains history contextually, facilitating its proper application for achieving Pan-Afrikanism. History is more than a collection of facts. Historical phases and how they are derived must be understood, if revolution is to be achieved;3.Explains culture contextually and its proper application for Pan-Afrikanism. At one level, culture is a people’s total experience and the failure to understand its source, operation and derivation hinders liberation efforts;4.Explains identity contextually and its proper interpretation for unity and Pan-Afrikanism. Identity removed from its material base triggers identity confusion as it reduces to ‘opinions’ and transforms destructively into a source of deep rooted disunity;5.Takes feminine and masculine principles, locates them in the context of nature as base and uses this to examine and highlight the role of Afrikan women in the liberation process;6.Succinctly explains the context and basis of racism;7.Clarifies and explains the symbiotic relationship between Afrikan culture, Pan-Afrikanism and scientific socialism.“Pan-Afrikanism: Material Based Concepts”, is the third in a trilogy of books demystifying and explaining Pan-Afrikanism. For people new to Pan-Afrikanist activism or seeking greater understanding, it adds clarity and theoretical guidance. For seasoned cadres and veterans, it provides a frame of reference for assessing, orientating or even refocusing the trajectory of their activities. As with the others, it should be studied collectively in groups, particularly those genuinely working towards the liberation of Afrika and her people in the context of worldwide revolution.
