Do you say yes to your child more than saying no to everything they want? Do you constantly give to your child especially if they are an adult, when you really don't want too? Do you constantly do for your significant other when he or she could do for themselves? Do you put your child in harms way for your own satisfaction? (taking them places they really shouldn't be) Have you used your child as an alibi in order to cheat on your spouse or significant other? (having them with you so no one would suspect any thing) Have you been molested as a child growing up, and for some reason kept it to yourself? Have you been constantly lied to by those that are closest to you, meaning family? Do you let the opinion of others decide your decisions? Are you treating your adult child/children like a kid instead of letting them stand on their own two feet, and be the responsible adult they should be? Are you totally honest with your child, or are you keeping secrets that can one day blow up in your face? (is he really your child's father) Do you show those close to you, or even those not that close, much love and not show that same love to your self? Do you have friendships that you find not to be equal to your images of what you feel a friend should be? Are you are loving or in love with someone whose not showing that same love to you, but you stay with that person anyway? How can you begin to love someone else when you don't know how to love yourself? Have you put trust to someone in the church, and regret doing so? If your answers to the majority of these questions are yes, then you are setting your small child, your adult child, and yourself up for disaster, you are indeed CRIPPLING/ENABLING THEM & YOURSELF.
