What is Monkeyassassins: A Chronic Odyssey all about, and why should you care? Let me put it this way. Humanity seems to be at a precarious crossroads with no true sense of direction. The future looks bleak. Monkeyassassins is a cathartic catalyst for positive, peaceful change. Evolution through revolution is our last salvation. I'm purging the demons of Mankind and the only way out is through God. Do you believe in freedom of speech? Animal Rights? Separation of Church and State? Sexual liberation? Marijuana legalization? I journey into all these thorny but important issues with a jeweler's scrutinizing eye and a surgeon's steady hand. I don't flinch. I get ferocious. I breathe in, hold steady, aim, squeeze, breathe out. I'm a survivalist and I'll teach you how to be one, too. You will see your own dazed and confused reflection within these pages just as I do, and we'll get through it together, it's okay. My book addresses our core fears, addictions, compulsions, desires, obsessions and societal ills. Our malevolent menagerie of frivolous fascinations. How do we get these monkeys off our backs now? Where do we go from here and who can we trust to lead us there? Should we be followers in the first place? We're quickly becoming a less free and less secure people. Citizen's rights is being eroded and privacy is extinct. What we take for granted isn't dependable anymore. I chose to self-publish this through Createspace.com because I want to avoid censorship, and this is an odd and provocative book that doesn't fit well into any established literary genre, even though it is, technically, poetry. The last book of original poetry I intend to do. But it's a lot more than that for me: it's my metaphysical manifesto. My streetcorner soapbox hallelujah prayer circle. My rebellious illegal pirate radio station in print and e-book form. Your favorite new pièce de résistance at the shindigs you attend. My special place in full frontal view of the public to rage, rant, seethe, vent and froth at the mouth about all the craziness I've witnessed, been a part of and endured thus far on our beloved planet Earth. My melodramatic, bombastic literary tour de force, yes! Watch as I self-destruct, then pick up all the pieces to put myself back together again. It's a carny ride in and out of damnation. When the social jungle meets the circus of my subconscious, all Hell breaks loose, and Monkeyassassins is my journalistic journey into madness. Come and be a part of this wild ride!
