Because she is a victim of the hurricane Bart provides her with housing. Because she is a misfit she makes Bart Curious.She looks to be close to 40 years old with a baby less than a year. Bart finds information in her destroyed apartment that leads him to believe she is using an alias. The more he focuses on her the more he is attracted to her. He wants to help but is fearful he will drive the skittish woman away. In searching for more information on her he uncovers something that puts her life at risk and leads to her baby being kidnapped. Teaming up they go in search of her baby while trying to avoid being victims themselves. When Bart learns her whole life story he has to make a decision that will forever change his life.The story takes place in the south and has many memorable characters. Love, mystery and adventure abound in this book of personal redemption.
