Billys' story begins with him as a shy and nervous young man with a passion for writing. As his life progresses he pursues his writing by becoming a journalism student at university. It is here that he begins to find his place in the world but does so with the assistance of alcohol which both calms him whilst fueling his racing mind. His story is not doom and gloom or a bed of roses. It lays somewhere on the positive side of these two factors.
