Reseña del libro "Jacob's Flock (en Inglés)"
Jacob is lying prone. Already conditioned by the spectacular sight displayed before him, his body succumbs to sleep. His soul wanders towards an illustrious destiny. He has already reached, in a waking state, the level of divine spirituality that will characterize his dream. Does spirituality not come from words or thoughts? The dream will be then at the level of the character. Doesn't a cook dream of his stove? Doesn't a pastry chef dream of his cakes? Doesn't a butcher dream of his work table? Doesn't a carpenter dream of his workshop? Doesn't a shepherd dream of his sheep? For, in fact, that is what this is all about! The souls of sheep the shepherd will make reparation for. From blood red, the color that stirs the deepest wicked thoughts in man, to the purest blameless innocent blue, the rainbow arching above us prevents unbelievers from saying, "I didn't see it." It tones down a too white light that might blind our eyes to the array of colors that represent different levels of guilt. The rainbow is the accusatory pointing finger making us think about our guilty excesses during our current, as well as previous lives. The most sophisticated of creations, it is undoubtedly the most visible and direct reproach of the Lord to the entire human race. This rainbow is not that alliance with God after the wrath of a past and forgotten tempest (the Maboul, the flood). It is not a promise of an endless continuity for a cosmic machine, nor a divine guarantee of the continuity and perpetuity of life on earth. Otherwise you might object His word is valueless, that typhoons and tidal waves, epidemics and wars, landslips and avalanches, storms and viruses are as many interruptions to the vital continuity of the cycle of life in direct violation of the divine promise. That could not be so!
