Tribes of India and Chhattisgarh state as well are recognized for their own specificity in terms of their culture, tradition, lifestyle and indigenous knowledge. This book lays emphasis on indigenous knowledge and its present day prevalent practices among two tribal communities, viz. Hill Korwas (A Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group) and Gonds (a major tribal group of Chhattisgarh) residing in Surguja district, Chhattisgarh state in Central India. The approach of this book is holistic and a comparative description of the indigenous knowledge of young and old people of both tribes is illustrated here.
