The implication of this research shows that businesses, such as universities, should align their students with a degree program that closely aligns with their desired calling. However, life events can get in the way of fulfilling a person's calling. Therefore, understanding how life events affect a calling will enable organizations, such as universities, to maximize internal motivation. This dissertation sheds light on the subject matter.
