This book is written to present functionally real-life situation where relevant and informative infor-mation is shared and learned that will give the reader an opportunity to grow and develop tech-niques and strategies to exercise when confronted with complex life situations. The information is de-signed to consolidate building blocks of learning information and techniques that would strengthen their growth by providing them a step by step pro-cess that can easily be understood and practice. Breaking Through was inspired by my experiences and challenges trying to reintegrate into society af-ter serving 23 1/2 years in prison. Over the years the journey has been difficult, yet, I was able to overcome those challenges and have now con-quered my fears and have achieved many of my goals. I hold a master's degree in counseling and attend speaking engagements sharing my story. It is my belief that many who share in my experience can learn from the methods I used to overcome my challenges.Breaking Through: Changing the Narrative is my second book on motivation and challenging young men to channel that negative character attributed to their environment to positive energy to change their narrative. It is my hope in this book that I de-liver what I aspire to give.
